Improving Health Care Quality Through EASY Patient Access

Navigating the health care maze can be challenging for patients and families. Frustration builds as patients experience difficulty in scheduling appointments, long waits in exam rooms, and other inefficiencies in primary care offices. Health care is fragmented when families turn to emergency rooms and urgent care centers for minor illnesses and chronic disease management. This presentation offers specific strategies for improving access to health care in the primary care office. Through case study, we will discuss the journey of one pediatric practice as it moved toward a patient-centered model of care with a focus on EASY access to quality health care.
